Evidence-Based Management Free Assessment: 50 PAL-EBM Practice Questions
Preparing for the Professional Agile Leadership – Evidence-Based Management (PAL-EBM) assessment, or simply want to lead with evidence instead of opinion? This free resource gives you 50 original practice questions written against the May 2024 Evidence-Based Management Guide. They cover the three levels of goals, the Experiment Loop, hypotheses, the five types of measures (inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes and impacts), the four Key Value Areas and the example Key Value Measures. Every question comes with the correct answer and a short justification, so you learn the reasoning and not just the result.
The questions are written by a Professional Scrum Trainer who teaches PAL-EBM, and they lean on the traps leaders fall into most often in class: treating velocity as value, confusing impacts with outcomes, defunding a product because its Current Value is low, and placing measures in the wrong Key Value Area. Expect plenty of scenarios, a few True/False checks, and some “choose two” questions where both answers must be right to score. Aim for 85% or higher before you sit the real assessment.
Two ways to use it. Switch to Study to work through questions at your own pace with instant feedback, or start Marathon mode for a hands-free session: each question appears, a timer counts you down to think, and the answer is revealed and read aloud. Use the topic chips to drill a single area, such as Key Value Measures.
These are original practice questions created for study purposes and written against the Evidence-Based Management Guide.
